Rental Policies

Thank you for your interest in renting from Una Notte. Please review our rental policies below-- in addition to our Terms & Conditions--before placing your order. 


We try to provide as much information as we can regarding the fit of the items available for rental on our website. Each garment has the designer's size chart included in the images as a reference - please check the size chart for the most accurate sizing information. If you are unsure about the fit, we offer try-ons at our La Jolla showroom, however we cannot reserve a dress or guarantee availability until the rental fee is paid. 


We understand that accidents happen. That's why we offer complimentary $5 damage insurance with every rental for minor repairs and stain removal. Any damage done to a garment above $5, determined at the discretion of our repair partner, will be charged to the credit card on file. For any garment that is lost or destroyed beyond repair, the full retail price will be charged to the credit card on file, less the charge of the initial rental. We ask that you please treat your Una Notte garment as if it were your own, and to take extra care to prevent bronzer/makeup marks, snags, rips, or stains.


All garments will arrive with a security tag attached. If a garment doesn’t fit you, then you can return it unworn within 24 hours to receive a credit to Una Notte of the rental fee minus delivery charges. At this time, we will only offer credit to Una Notte and will not refund the original form of payment. You must email indicating your intention to return the product for credit. Returns for credit will not be accepted if security has been removed from the garment. The term “unworn” will be determined by Una Notte and must be fulfilled prior to a credit being issued. Credits will only be issued if all of the sizes in the order were unworn. 


Cancellations are allowed in the first 24 hours after an order was first placed on Una Notte, unless the item(s) have already been dispatched to you, or unless the cancellation request was received less than 72 hours prior to your booking start date. You will be eligible for full refund.

Cancellations are also allowed if a cancellation request is received 7 or more days prior to your booking start date. In these cases you will be given a full refund equal to the amount paid for the booking and delivery costs (if applicable).

For cancellation requests received within the 7 days prior to your booking start date, you will be entitled to a credit note for the full amount paid including delivery fees, but not a refund. The credit note will be provided as an Una Notte Gift Voucher which can be used to rent or buy any items on the Una Notte website and will have a 6 month expiry.

In exceptional circumstances we will consider a cancellation outside the allowances above, but reserve the right to decide. Please get in touch to explain your situation for our consideration.


Una Notte may cancel your booking at any time, for any reason. The compensation to you will be limited to the amount you paid to Una Notte for the booking and delivery (if applicable). Una Notte will not be responsible for any consequential damages that result from cancellation of the booking.

Reasons that Una Notte may cancel your booking include, but are not limited to:

  • The item is damaged by a customer that has rented the item prior to you.
  • The item is lost or stolen by a customer that rented the item prior to you.

In all cases above, you will be entitled to a full refund.


We currently offer two options for garment delivery and returns: 

FREE: Pick up and drop off at our La Jolla, CA showroom. We offer contact-free returns via the secure parcel dropbox located outside of our showroom. If you choose free pickup and delivery, garments due back to us on a Saturday or Sunday must be returned on the last day of the rental period using the dropbox, as our showroom will be closed or have limited hours. Rentals due back on a federal holiday may be dropped off the following business day. 


NATIONWIDE SHIPPING: We utilize UPS 2-Day shipping for all 4- and 8-day rentals. We recommend choosing a date 1-2 days before your event or vacation in order to ensure your garment arrives in time. Your dress will come with a pre-paid return label and return package; simply put your garment in the packaging, stick the label on the outside, and drop it off at either a UPS drop box or counter.

If you return your product late you will incur a fifty ($50.00) late fee for every day you are late up to 100% of the retail value of the dress as indicated on our website. Una Notte will use the payment method you have provided to charge any late fees. You agree to pay these late fees up to an amount not exceeding 100% of the retail value of the products. Late fee is payable regardless of whether a customer is a member or has used credit for their order. If you have not returned your product within 5 days of the return date your product will be considered a non-return and Una Notte will charge your payment card the maximum late fee as set above, less any late fee we have already charged you. If you lose the provided shipping label, you may return your garment through the shipping service of your choosing, however you are responsible for all expenses incurred and must provide the tracking number to Una Notte as soon as the item is rendered to the shipping service. Una Notte will not be held liable for products that are late or lost in transit due to your chosen method of shipping.


Una Notte will handle all dry cleaning following the return of a garment to our offices. Please do not attempt to launder or dry clean a rented garment. You will be responsible for any damage that may occur from unauthorized dry cleaning or attempted stain removal.


If you do not pay the amounts owed to us when due we will pass on the invoices to a collection company to pursue you for collections, including and without limitation attorney and collection fees.  Una Notte reserves the right to terminate your right to rent products from us at any time at our own discretion should you breach this agreement or for any other reason.
